I joined Nor-Cal FDC in 2013, starting out as the Senior Director of Program Development. During my 3-year tenure in this role, I built strategic partnerships to expand small business certification with the Department of General Services, increasing opportunities for businesses to work within California. I led initiatives to boost microloan volume, achieving a 50% growth by streamlining processes with lending partners. I also collaborated with a Fortune 1000 company to establish an innovative revolving loan fund for subcontractors, aligning payment cycles and generating an attractive ROI.
As Chief Operating Officer, I directed all operational and strategic functions within the corporation to support our overall mission of expanding capital access for small businesses. I provided leadership across financial services initiatives, leveraging my expertise to develop and implement impactful programs. By creating streamlined processes and effective frameworks, I strengthened the organization’s capacity to deliver essential financial resources, enabling sustainable growth for small businesses in economically disadvantaged communities.
As Chief Executive Officer, I lead the organization’s long-term strategic direction, overseeing program directors and senior staff to maintain a high-performance team. I drive partnerships with financial institutions to enhance capital access for small businesses, focusing on risk management and sustainable growth. My role includes cultivating relationships with lenders to secure recurring revenue streams, while implementing robust tracking systems to monitor state loan guarantee program outcomes, community impact, and job creation.
